The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are returning to the world of Fortnite, for the new Cowabunga event. It will include brand-new rewards, gameplay mechanics, and an outfit based on the iconic villain Shredder.
Fortnite’s Cowabunga event is officially live now in the game, and will run through February 27, 2024. Throughout the event, players will be able to pick up TMNT-themed gear during games, complete special Cowabunga Quests for rewards, and unlock a ton of rewards in the game’s newest Battle Pass, the Cowabunga Pass.
Similar to the Battle Pass system, the Cowabunga Pass will feature both a free and premium track, with the premium track offering a free Shredder Outfit and extra rewards as you play through the game. Rewards in the Cowabunga Pass will include new back bling, gliders, pickaxes, and more.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arrived in Fortnite last year
Alongside the Cowabunga Pass and new free content, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will once again return to Fortnite’s Item Shop with this newest event. After arriving in December, the foursome of Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo will be available to purchase in the game.
This time, so will the Turtles’ adoptive father Splinter, and April O’Neil, both of which will also see outfits arrive back in the shop. Similar to the Turtles’ outfits, the April O’Neil and Splinter skins will come with a Fortnite and LEGO style, allowing fans to play as the characters in Fortnite’s new LEGO survival mode.
