Wolverine PS5 Footage and Information Released After Insomniac Hack

Wolverine PS5 Footage and Details Emerge After Insomniac Hack

Earlier this week, hackers claimed to have breached developer Insomniac Games, resulting in the release of stolen data. On Tuesday, the group surfaced more information, including footage of the developers’ unreleased Wolverine game.

The news comes after hackers, who initially demanded $2 million in bitcoin, released the information they had threatened to have stolen. The leaks contain a variety of videos and text files that detail Insomniac’s upcoming Marvel’s Wolverine game, including staff information, contracts signed by Marvel, and extensive video footage of the game.

We understandably won’t be hosting any of the leaked content here but a compilation of alpha footage alongside Wolverine’s animation, motion capture work, roadmap, internal presentation, cutscenes, and information like boss fights and enemies has surfaced online.

Other information released includes the entire plot of the game, various gameplay sections that detail stealth and combat, and even a release date that Insomniac intends to be aiming for — 2026, assuming the information is correct.

What happened to Insomniac Games?

Earlier this week, hackers announced that they had obtained employee data as well as information about various projects (via Cyber Daily). Since then, the group has released an image of some of its collected data, including screenshots from Insomniac’s upcoming Wolverine game as well as some information that lists what the studio is working on.

As first spotted by users on Reddit, Insomniac Games is listed as working on three upcoming projects, including something called “RCE,” “Spider-Man 3,” and “Spider-???.” The images also contain text that reads that there is “additional support for Spider-Verse” being done by some employees.
