7-Game Star Wars Heritage Pack Announces Physical Release for Nintendo Switch

The seven-game Star Wars Heritage Pack is getting a physical release on the Nintendo Switch this December.

Aspyr and Lucasfilm Games have announced that Star Wars Heritage Pack — which is currently available digitally via the Switch eShop — will be available in brick-and-mortar stores starting December 8, 2023, with a price tag of $59.99. The collection includes Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Star Wars: Republic Commando, Star Wars: Episode I Racer, Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II. However, while the first five games on that list will all be on the Switch Game Card, the Knights of the Old Republic duology will require a digital download.

Star Wars Heritage Pack collects Aspyr’s various ports

Aspyr is known for porting classic Star Wars games to modern systems. The developer first brought Raven Software’s 2002 title Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast to the Nintendo Switch in 2019. A Switch port of the game’s 2003 sequel, Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, followed suit in 2020. Later that same year, Aspyr brought LucasArts’ own Episode I Racer to the Nintendo platform as well. That game originally released in 1999.

In 2021, Aspyr released a Switch version of LucasArts’ 2005 shooter Republic Commando. Later that year, it ported BioWare’s 2003 RPG Knights of the Old Republic to the system. Then, in April 2022, LucasArts’ 2008 hack-and-slash adventure title The Force Unleashed got the Switch treatment. Most recently, Aspyr released a Switch version of Obsidian Entertainment’s 2004 Knights of the Old Republic sequel in June 2022.

The digital edition of Star Wars Heritage Pack is available now on the Nintendo Switch. The physical edition releases on Friday, December 8.
