There’s a new Mortal Kombat movie coming to HBO Max in two months, but that’s not the only good news for MK fans. Via Gamespot, Arcade1Up has debuted one of its next legacy cabinets. As you can see from the pic above, the Midway Legacy Edition will feature a Mortal Kombat theme. More specifically, a Mortal Kombat II theme, with decals on the front, sides, riser, and light-up marquee. The layout of the joysticks and buttons are also optimized for three of the cabinet’s top games: Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat II, and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.
Additionally, the cabinet features a few of Midway’s legendary arcade games including Joust, Defender, Rampage, Gauntlet, and Paperboy. Lesser known titles also included are Rootbeer Tapper, Bubbles, Toobin, and Wizard of Wor.

The Midway Legacy Edition doesn’t have an official release date yet. But it’s likely to hit stores later this year. Arcade1Up is also releasing Legacy Edition cabinets this year for Atari, Capcom, and Bandai Namco.
Additionally, Arcade1Up recently announced cabinets featuring Konami’s X-Men arcade game, Dragon’s Lair, and Killer Instinct. All of these cabinets are expected to hit in 2021.
