Star Wars Battlefront II Trailer Unleashes New Rise of Skywalker DLC
The latest DLC update for Star Wars: Battlefront II is set to debut on December 17. And it’s bringing new things Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker once it arrives. Initially announced earlier this year, EA has dropped a new teaser trailer for Battlefront II‘s Rise of Skywalker DLC. Although it doesn’t have any actual gameplay footage, it does show a number of characters from the film. It also shows off a new map, based on one of the locales featured in the movie.
Players will be able to take control of the new red Stormtroopers introduced in the new film, along with the jetpack troopers. The new map, yet unnamed, will have support in co-op, along with a number of other modes within the game. Several other maps will also be featured, although a playlist isn’t available just yet.

While most of the update’s content will arrive tomorrow, players will have to wait until December 20 to try out the new location. EA and DICE are probably holding it back to avoid potential spoilers from The Rise of Skywalker, which also debuts on the 20th.
The developers should have a full update list available once it goes live, and it will be free of charge. But this is a strong lead into Battlefront II’s coming updates for 2020. In January, it will debut a new Capital Supremacy mode, as well as additional characters, such as BB-8.
Star Wars: Battlefront II is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
