Just in time for the series’ tenth season premiere on AMC, The Walking Dead will soon cross over into dangerous territory – PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Tencent announced that various characters from the hit series will debut in the mobile version of the hit Battle Royale game. The promotion is set to kick off on Tuesday, October 1, and continue onward into 2020.
According to Tencent, “players will have a chance to traverse the battlefield as familiar heroes or an iconic villain. Limited edition in-game items such as character skins, weapons and a vehicle are among those available.” Players can suit up as Daryl Dixon, Rick Grimes, Negan, and Michonne. Familiar weapons are also available, like Negan’s “Lucille” bat and Michonne’s katana. For who feel like taking a ride, Daryl’s motorcycle is also coming to the game.

Sadly, this promotion appears to just be for the mobile versions of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Tencent previously introduced other promotions for PUBG Mobile that included special events for Godzilla: King of the Monsters and Resident Evil 2. We suspect that The Walking Dead event will be popular with PUBG Mobile players. After all, who doesn’t want to clean house as Michonne and Daryl Dixon?
The update should apply automatically tomorrow. PUBG Mobile is available now for iOS and Android devices. As for the newest season of The Walking Dead, it premieres on Sunday, October 8.
