The White Lotus star Leslie Bibb recently shared some details regarding an Iron Man 2 actor’s surprise cameo appearance in Season 3. The series started airing on HBO on February 16, 2025, and has since been lauded by both critics and fans. Leslie Bibb sheds light on Sam Rockwell’s casting in The White Lotus Season 3
The Jupiter’s Legacy actress sat down for an interview, where she disclosed how her husband Sam Rockwell ended up having a cameo in The White Lotus.
Rockwell made a surprise appearance in Season 3, Episode 5, titled “Full-Moon Party,” as Walton Goggins’ character Rick’s friend, Frank. The Iron Man 2 actor showed up unexpectedly, and his monologue became one of the most memorable parts of the episode.
When asked whether she helped Rockwell get the cameo, Leslie Bibb told Entertainment Weekly, “No, they came to me and they were like, ‘We’re going to offer this to Sam.’ I was on the treadmill and Dave Bernad came to me.” She also shared that she was unsure whether Rockwell would agree to do the cameo.
Bibb added, “That was a big arc to do that quickly. And (Sam Rockwell) literally went from one (project) to the next, so I said, ‘You can’t get mad at me if he says no. What if he says no?’ I was so scared! Then Mike (creator of The White Lotus) was like, ‘No, no, no, we won’t get mad at you.”
The actress further conveyed that her experience of having her husband Sam Rockwell on the set of The White Lotus was “really fun.” Leslie Bibb also praised his performance as Frank and said, “I think he’s a great actor, and we’re lucky to have him, and I think he chewed up that character. Mike was really happy to have him too.”
