While Marvel Studios’ What If…? has ended after three seasons, Kahhori may still show up in the MCU at some point in the future.
Kahhori is an original MCU character who debuted in “What If…Kahhori Reshaped the World?” The episode was part of Marvel’s What If…? Season 2 and, since then, Kahhori returned for a handful of additional What If…? episodes.
Additionally, Kahhori made her Marvel Comics debut in Kahhori: Reshaper of Worlds #1, a one-shot that was released in November 2024.
What did Brad Winderbaum say about Kahhori’s MCU future?
Per ComicBook, Marvel’s Brad Winderbaum discussed what the future might hold for Kahhori in the MCU following the release of the third and final season of What If…?
“I love Kahhori, and she’s popping off in the comics now. She started to enter publishing and is just a really exciting character,” he said. “I think there’s a future for that character. We’ll see where she lands next. But she’s a big part of this season and a big part of the What If tapestry. And it shows the What If scenarios don’t always have to be like, ‘What if a character did this instead of that?’ That’s one of my favorite episodes because it’s born of an odd object landing in a different place at a different time, and all of a sudden that birthed a new hero.”
Devery Jacobs voices Kahhori in Marvel’s What If…? series. It’s worth noting that Jacobs also played a character named Bonnie in the MCU Echo series, which was released in January 2024.
At this time, there’s been no official announcement about Kahhori returning for another MCU project. Given she exists in a different world than where the majority of MCU stories take place, she likely won’t be seen in Captain America: Brave New World or Thunderbolts*, though Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars are both expected to heavily deal with the multiverse and an appearance isn’t out of the question.
All three seasons of What If…? are now available to stream on Disney+.
