Agatha Harkness actor Kathryn Hahn isn’t sure if her recent Golden Globe nomination is enough to convince Marvel Studios that Agatha All Along deserves a second season.
On Monday, December 9, the Golden Globe Foundation unveiled the 82nd Golden Globe Awards nominations, with the awards ceremony set to air on CBS on Sunday, January 5, 2025. Hahn was the only actor who starred in a Marvel Cinematic Universe project in 2024 to receive a nomination. She will compete in the category of Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy against Kristen Bell (Nobody Wants This), Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary), Ayo Edebiri (The Bear), Selena Gomez (Only Murders in the Building), and Jean Smart (Hacks).
Speaking with Variety about her Golden Globe nomination, Hahn was asked if the news might put more pressure on Marvel Studios to greenlight a Season 2 of Agatha All Along. “Yeah, here’s hoping. I know anyone in the cast would be thrilled to jump into it,” the actor admitted. “It was like one of the toughest, most coven-building, nourishing experiences of my creative life. So, I know we would all be absolutely thrilled.”

While the cast is on board to return for another season, Hahn noted that Agatha All Along technically exists as the second installment in a trilogy of Disney+ series that began with WandaVision, potentially complicating a Season 2 renewal. “We always thought of it as a trilogy with the Vision show, but who knows? They run a tight ship over there. I’ve heard nothing,” she added.
What could happen in Agatha All Along Season 2?
Despite telling a complete story, Agatha All Along did conclude with a dangling plotline that could be explored in either a new MCU series or in Season 2. The two-part finale of the Disney+ limited series saw the title witch helping Joe Locke’s Billy/Wiccan locate his missing brother Tommy’s soul and place it in the body of a drowning boy before sacrificing herself to save Billy from Death. Before the credits rolled on the final episode, Agatha reunited with Billy as a ghost, with the two setting out to find Tommy.
While fans wait to hear if Agatha All Along is getting a Season 2, they can rewatch all nine episodes of the MCU series on Disney+.
