Temuera Morrison Gives The Book of Boba Fett Season 2 Update

In an expected turn of events, the future of The Book of Boba Fett Season 2 seems uncertain, as suggested by lead actor Temuera Morrison. The series made its debut in December 2021, with Morrison taking over the mantle of the iconic Star Wars character. The show garnered underwhelming reviews from critics and audiences alike upon its release, dividing fans due to its lackluster narrative. Three years later, Temuera Morrison has come out to provide a discouraging update regarding The Book of Boba Fett’s fate.

Temuera Morrison doesn’t know if The Book of Boba Fett Season 2 will happen

Temuera Morrison revealed that he is oblivious to what is going on with Star Wars presently. While he expressed his desire to return as the fan-favorite bounty hunter, Morrison’s comments hinted that it could be a while before he dons Boba Fett’s mantle again.

Temuera Morrison shared the update regarding The Book of Boba Fett Season 2 in a discussion with The RaeSide. In the interview, the Aquaman star suggested that Lucasfilm is most probably working on “making new stuff” rather than focusing on projects surrounding Boba Fett.

“I was hoping for a [Book of Boba Fett Season 2], maybe, but we’ll see what happens,” Morrison stated while addressing his much-awaited return to Star Wars. “I don’t know what’s on the cards, but it’d be nice to work with [Ming-Na Wen] again,” he added.

In an earlier appearance at August’s FAN EXPO Chicago, Morrison disclosed that he was originally supposed to return as Boba Fett in The Mandalorian Season 4. However, the series has since pivoted in a different direction and is now moving ahead with a feature-length movie featuring Pedro Pascal instead of a fourth chapter. Morrison also noted that he is eagerly “waiting for a phone call” from Disney but to no avail so far.

Having said that, Disney has yet to share an official update regarding The Book of Boba Fett’s second season.
