Gen V Season 2 has wrapped production.
Gen V is a spin-off series to Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys. The first season, which was set between the events of The Boys Season 3 and The Boys Season 4, premiered on Prime Video in September 2023. It was renewed for a second season in October 2023.
Now, stars Derek Luh, Maddie Phillips, and Sean Patrick Thomas have shared a number of behind-the-scenes photos taken from the set of Gen V Season 2 and have announced that production on the new season is now complete.

What do we know about Gen V Season 2?
Plot details for Gen V’s sophomore year remain under wraps at this time; however, Eric Kripke previously teased that the new season “is gonna be wild” and that fans should prepare themselves for all the “twists, heart, satire, and exploding genitalia” they’ve come to expect from the show, via Entertainment Weekly.
The cast of Gen V’s second season includes Jaz Sinclair as Marie Moreau, Lizze Broadway as Emma Meyer, Phillips as Cate Dunlap, Luh and London Thor as Jordan Li, Asa Germann as Samuel Riordan, and Thomas as Polarity.
Additionally, Hamish Linklater has been tapped to play a character named Cipher, the newly-appointed Dean of Godolkin University.
Chance Perdomo played Andre Anderson in the first season of Gen V; however, Perdomo tragically died in a motorcycle crash in March 2024. Gen V producers have confirmed that there are no plans to recast Perdomo’s part.
Kripke previously told Entertainment Weekly that they were roughly a week away from filming Gen V Season 2 before Perdomo’s accident, which then caused them to “rethink everything.”
“What I tell people when they say, ‘Wow, that’s really crazy or difficult’ [is] that pales in comparison to what his friends and loved ones are going through,” Kripke said. “It’s the least we could do.”
Gen V Season 2 will premiere on Amazon Prime Video in 2025.
