Humberly González wants to play Kay Vess in a live-action television series adaptation of Star Wars Outlaws.
González voices the character of Kay Vess in Star Wars Outlaws, the new open-world video game developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. The game, which is set between the events of 1980’s The Empire Strikes Back and 1983’s Return of the Jedi, follows Kay as she and a team of scoundrels attempt to pull off a massive heist.
“Star Wars Outlaws rewards exploration and investment in your playstyle, letting you explore the galaxy far, far away as you see fit,” ComingSoon Paul Tamburro wrote in his review for the game. “Some technical issues and problems with its progression system don’t hold back a great experience, that will hopefully be the start of many more open-world Star Wars games to come.”

What did Humberly González say about a live-action Star Wars Outlaws series?
Speaking with Variety, González — who also did the full-body motion capture for her character — said she’d love to portray Kay in live-action someday should she ever get the chance.
“I think it would be incredible to see Kay Vess in live action because one thing that we don’t see in animation is those micro-expressions of a real human being on screen,” González said. “And it would be incredible for me to experience what it would be like to be literally in her costume, in her appearance, her likeness, in the landscape, to see her interact with real characters, the creatures. It would be a dream come true. I certainly would not say no to the opportunity.
“And I think there are so many opportunities to see Kay Vess and other aspects of established roles in Star Wars, because we’re in the original trilogy, and there’s so many opportunities for her to exist or show up and in different places. So it would be amazing, and I think fans would love it.”
González has starred in movies such as 2021’s Nobody, 2022’s Slumberland, 2023’s Friends & Family Christmas, 2024’s Tarot, and more. She’s also been in a number of television shows, including Utopia Falls, In the Dark, Nurses, and Ginny & Georgia.
Star Wars Outlaws is now available to play on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.
