Agatha: Coven of Chaos rumors

Agatha Gets New Potential Title for MCU Disney+ Show

A since-deleted tweet may have revealed another name change for the upcoming Disney+ series Agatha: Darkhold Diaries.

Marvel Studios surprised fans on Monday when they shared a post on X with a new title card for the upcoming series. In it, the series was called “Agatha: The Lying Witch with Great Wardrobe,” a play on the title of the C.S. Lewis novel The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.

Fans quickly began to wonder whether or not the image was confirmation of a new title for the series. However, Marvel Studios quickly deleted the post about 10 minutes later.

Should the series see its name changed again, it would mark the the fourth time the project has been renamed. In 2021, the series was revealed as Agatha: House of Harkness, which was later renamed to Agatha: Coven of Chaos in 2022. Just a few months later, the project was given the name Agatha: Darkhold Diaries.

What do we know about the upcoming series?

The series hails from head writer and director Jac Schaeffer, who is also serving as an executive producer along with Kevin Feige. Joining Hahn are Emma Caulfield Ford and Debra Jo Rupp, who are reprising their roles as Westview residents from WandaVision.

Agatha serves as a spin-off to WandaVision, which premiered on Disney+ in 2021. Kathryn Hahn is reprising her role as Agatha Harkness in the series, while the cast also includes Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Debra Jo Rupp, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, and Emma Caulfield.

Agatha: Darkhold Diaries is expected to debut in the fall of 2024.
