The second season of Disney+’s Andor series has wrapped filming.

Diego Luna, who plays Cassian Andor in Disney+ and Lucasfilm‘s Andor, announced the second season of the fan-favorite Star Wars series had wrapped filming in an Instagram post that he shared on Friday, February 9, 2024.

“Today is the last day of filming Andor,” Luna’s caption reads. “I could not be more thankful to the entire crew for this amazing experience and the years of hard work. What do we know about Andor Season 2?

Andor Season 2 started filming in November 2022 and was initially eyeing a 2024 release; however, production was delayed because of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) strikes. Filming then resumed in early January 2024.

Like the first season, Andor Season 2 will have 12 episodes. The new season will lead up to the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, with the final three episodes being set just days before the 2016 film. Further plot details remain under wraps at this time.

The first season of Andor premiered on Disney+ in 2022. Along with Luna, the season starred Kyle Soller as Syril Karn, Adria Arjona as Bix Caleen, Stellan Skargård as Luthen Rael, Fiona Shaw as Maarva Andor, Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma, and Denise Gough as Dedra Meero.

Andor Season 2 does not yet have an official premiere date, though it’s expected to debut in 2025. Andor Season 1 is currently streaming on Disney+.
