The Wheel of Time Blooper Shows Forsaken Confused About Who to Kill

A behind-the-scenes video from Season 2 of Prime Video‘s The Wheel of Time provides an unusually humorous look at two powerful villains discussing a murder.

The footage was shared by The Dusty Wheel, a Wheel of Time YouTube show. In it, actors Natasha O’Keeffe and Fares Fares are filming a scene in which their respective characters, Lanfear and Ishamael, are holding a secret meeting about their manipulation of the series’ heroes. O’Keeffe is saying the line, “I told him I want you to kill him,” but repeatedly confuses the pronouns so that each take is a different person being killed or doing the killing, prompting Fares to quip, “Someone’s going to kill someone.”

Lanfear and Ishamael are both major antagonists in The Wheel of Time, members of the cabal of fallen Aes Sedai known as the Forsaken. Showrunner Rafe Judkins has spoken of the effort to humanize the Forsaken beyond their portrayal in the source material, saying, “They’re not just capital ‘E’ Evil. Like they’re doing what they do for a reason and they’re extremely human faces of evil in The Wheel of Time … I do think that Lanfear and Ishamael, we really tried to infuse the characters with a lot of what you learn about them from the end of the books right at the beginning so that their characters feel complete.”

The Wheel of Time will return for Season 3

The Wheel of Time is based on the beloved high fantasy book series by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson. The story is set in a world where certain women have access to powerful magic and can join the feared and respected order of Aes Sedai, but men with the same ability are doomed to mentally snap and endanger everyone around them.

The Wheel of Time Seasons 1 and 2 are streaming now on Prime Video. Season 3 is in production now, but no release window has been announced at this time.
