Harley Quinn: Animated DC Series Scores Season 5 Renewal From Max

Max has renewed Harley Quinn for Season 5.

Per Variety, Max has officially picked up the DC animated series Harley Quinn for a fifth season. The renewal comes just a few months after Harley Quinn Season 4 finished its run, while a Kite Man: Hell Yeah spin-off is also on the way.

“‘Harley Quinn has raised the comedic crowbar with every new season. We’re excited to continue this partnership with Max and take our biggest swing yet for Season 5,” said Peter Girardi, Executive Vice President of Alternative Programming at Warner Bros. Animation.

“The talented Harley Quinn team has once again succeeded in delivering a season that builds on everything that has come before while still feeling fresh and inventive,” added Suzanna Makkos, Executive Vice President of Original Comedy and Adult Animation at Max and Adult Swim. “They continue to provide hilarious, heartwarming, and deranged stories with our lovable group of DC misfits, and we couldn’t be more excited for the fans to see what they’ve accomplished in Season 5.”

Who stars in Harley Quinn?

The series stars Kaley Cuoco as the titular Dr. Harleen Quinzel, while Lake Bell voices Poison Ivy, Alan Tudyk voices the Joker and Clayface, Ron Funches voices King Shark, Tony Hale voices Doctor Psycho, Jason Alexander voices Sy Borgman, and J. B. Smoove voices Frank the Plant.

The first season of Harley Quinn premiered in November 2019 on DC Universe. The second season was also released on DC Universe before it then moved to HBO Max and, now, Max for its third and fourth seasons. A Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine’s Day Special was also released on Max in February 2023.

A release date for Harley Quinn Season 5 has not yet been set. Kite Man: Hell Yeah, meanwhile, will be released on Max in 2024.
