Ahsoka Star Reveals a Single Fight Scene Took Her Days to Film

Ahsoka star Diana Lee Inosanto reveals how challenging the Star Wars show’s fight scenes were to film in comparison to The Mandalorian.

Speaking to Dagobah Dispatch, the actor broke down the key differences in how she prepared to battle as Morgan Elsbeth in The Mandalorian and its recent spin-off series. “I will tell you one thing: the fight scene for sure. We had about 17 hours to kick out that fight scene between Rosario and me [in The Mandalorian]. Whereas this time around, we had days at it. Let’s just say that. There were days at it for that fight scene. It’s a long, involved fight scene. It’s pretty intense.” It’s currently unknown who Morgan will challenge in Ahsoka, but fans speculate that she’ll eventually come into contact with the titular character as both of them careen towards Grand Admiral Thrawn.

The Quest for Thrawn

“There’s so much action involved in this,” Inosanto elaborated. “I don’t want to say too much, but there are some incredible moments between all of us… A lot of what I did in The Mandalorian served me well in Ahsoka.” Introduced in the second season of the former series, Morgan Elsbeth is a human Nightsister who played a key part in the Empire’s reign. Din Djarin initially accepts a job to protect her by hunting down Ahsoka before ultimately joining forces with his target to bring the Imperial loyalist down.

Elsbeth has already played a key role in Ahsoka, having been broken out of a New Republic prison by Baylan Skoll, a former Jedi who, alongside his apprentice Shin Hati, wishes to see Grand Admiral Thrawn take his place as the heir to the Empire. This goal is shared by the Nightsister, who was already plotting to pursue the Grand Admiral before she was captured.

New episodes of Ahsoka arrive on Disney+ every Wednesday.
