X-Men: Hellfire Gala Variant Cover Previews X-Men ’97 Designs

A new variant cover for X-Men: Hellfire Gala has given fans a new look at the characters of the upcoming Disney+ series X-Men ’97.

Marvel posted the variant cover for the one-shot comic on its official website, showing off artwork by original animated series storyboard artist Dan Veesenmeyer. The cover features a number of iconic X-Men characters like Cyclops, Storm, Wolverine, Jean Grey, Magneto, and Bishop.

X-Men: Hellfire Gala 2023 #1 goes on sale on July 26. It’s written by Gerry Duggan and features art by Kris Anka, Joshua Cassara, Russell Dauterman, Adam Kubert, Pepe Larraz, R.B. Silva, Luciano Vecchio, and more, with the non-variant cover featuring art by Phil Noto. The comic serves as a one-shot that is set to lead into the upcoming Fall of X story.

What is X-Men ’97?

X-Men ’97 is being written by Beau DeMayo, who also wrote The Witcher‘s animated spin-off Nightmare of the Wolf for Netflix. The new series will retain the original theme music from the iconic X-Men animated series of the past. Alongside new information from the series, DeMayo has confirmed that a second season is already in development, although little information about that has been revealed or discussed.
