The Flash Star Grant Gustin Reveals the Final Scene He Filmed

The popular DC superhero series The Flash ended last night, bringing The CW’s Arrowverse to a close after over ten years. Now, series star Grant Gustin has revealed what the very last scene he filmed for The Flash was.

What was the last The Flash scene that Grant Gustin filmed?

In an interview with Deadline, Gustin spoke about ending the series and his last day on the set. After mentioning that the final day was all green screen work, the actor revealed that the final scene was a rather fitting send-off.

“The last shot we filmed was actually the last shot of this series of this big, sweeping crane shot that comes down on Barry as he’s running through Central City and a smile comes across his face and that’s where we go out on,” Gustin explained. “That was the very, very last thing we shot, which was pretty cool.”

“The Flash, the fastest man alive, is tasked with his greatest challenge yet, to save the timeline and save existence,” reads the finale’s synopsis. “Friends old and new gather for an epic battle to save Central City, one last time.”

The ninth season was Grant Gustin’s final time as The Flash, as the actor is not set to cameo in the upcoming feature film adaptation of the same character. Recently, Gustin opened up about concluding the series after nine seasons, stating, “It just felt like time.

The Flash Season 9 starred Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Danielle Nicolet, and Brandon McKnight. The CW series released its final episode on May 24 after being on the air since 2014.
