A Loki Season 2 rumor has about the presence of Loki variants in the upcoming season of the popular Disney+ series has made its way online.
Will there be Loki variants in Loki Season 2?
Insider @CanWeGetToast has tweeted that, outside of Sylvie who starred in Loki Season 1, there will be no Loki variants in the upcoming second season. This is a surprise, as a large portion of Season 1 focused on the different variants that had been pruned by the TVA to preserve the Sacred Timeline over the years.
Some of the most central variants of Season 1 included Richard E. Grant’s Classic Loki, Jack Veal’s Kid Loki, DeObia Oparei’s Boastful Loki, and the popular Alligator Loki. Given that Season 2 ended on a cliffhanger focusing more on Kang the Conqueror and his variants, the forthcoming season may opt to focus more on the MCU’s next overarching villain rather than more different versions of Loki.
Loki Season 1 first premiered in June of 2021. The series follows a variant of Loki who leaves his timeline following the time travel heist of 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. The series featured the introduction of Jonathan Majors’ He Who Remains — the first version of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’s villain Kang seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
