Bad Batch Producer Addresses Omega’s Connection to Boba Fett

In the first season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, it was revealed that Omega differed from her clone brothers. Aside from her gender, Omega (Michelle Ang) is an unmodified clone of Jango Fett. That means she is the sister of “Alpha,” who is better known as Boba Fett. This has led some fans to speculate about a future meeting of the clone siblings. Bad Batch producer Jennifer Corbett recently addressed that while discussing Omega’s connection to Boba Fett during an interview with The Direct.

“I think a lot of people want [them to meet] because they are brother and sister. But it’s important for her, at this point in her life, and where her journey is – she’s at a very different place than where Boba is right now,” said Corbett. “So we just really wanted to focus on her growth and her interactions with her found family versus the trajectory that Boba’s currently on. But, you know, never say never.”

On the face of Corbett’s quote, a family reunion does not seem likely in the foreseeable future. However, if recent history has told us anything, Lucasfilm loves to surprise Star Wars fans with some unexpected fan service.

For decades, fans were led to believe that Boba Fett died in Return of the Jedi. However, Lucasfilm decided to officially revive him in The Mandalorian. He even landed his own spinoff series, The Book of Boba Fett. Omega may never meet Boba Fett on The Bad Batch, but perhaps she could appear in live-action down the lIne.

The first two episodes of The Bad Batch season 2 are now streaming on Disney+.
