Three years after the USS Orville last sailed across our TV screens, the spacefaring vessel is finally embarking on another adventure this summer. Seth MacFarlane’s hit sci-fi series is moving over to Hulu in less than two months. And to get fans excited for the premiere, the streaming service has released some fresh key art for The Orville: New Horizons.
The poster doesn’t feature any of the Orville’s crew members. Instead, a handful of ships leave colorful trails in their wake to form the symbol of the Planetary Union. Hulu previously hyped the series’ return back in February by releasing the first four minutes of the season premiere. The clip also gave fans an early look at the show’s revamped main title sequence.

From the second it debuted on Fox in 2017, The Orville has allowed MacFarlane (who also headlines the series as Captain Ed Mercer) to indulge his Star Trek fandom in ways that his other TV projects (Family Guy, American Dad, etc.) could not. But although the series has developed a loyal fanbase over the last half-decade, the upcoming season could be its last. A recent report from Deadline claimed that there are no immediate plans to continue The Orville beyond New Horizons’ 11 episodes. Apparently, the door is open for a fourth season, but MacFarlane might want to concentrate on other endeavors.
The Orville: New Horizons will launch on Hulu on June 2.
