Although we’ve finally seen footage from The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, many of the show’s characters remain shrouded in mystery. But now we can put names to at least two more faces. Earlier today, Amazon Global held its All-Hands meeting, where the company revealed a few new details about its highly-anticipated Middle-earth saga. Rings of Power characters.
During the presentation, Amazon confirmed that Tyroe Muhafidin will play a character named Theo when The Rings of Power debuts later this year. Unfortunately, they didn’t share any other details about his role. But they did release a new photo of Muhafidin from the series, and he appears holding a dagger inside a ramshackle cabin. Amazon also released another image of Nazanin Boniadi’s character, Bronwyn. You can check out both new stills courtesy of the show’s official Instagram page below.

It doesn’t sound as though Theo and Bronwyn are based on any existing characters from J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings universe. Regardless, that appears to be the case for many of The Rings of Power’s headliners. The series will depict Middle-earth’s Second Age, which began thousands of years before the events of Tolkien’s original trilogy. But the story will leave room for younger versions of familiar characters like Elrond (Robert Aramayo) and Galdriel (Morfydd Clark).
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will premiere on Amazon Prime on September 2.
