The next big ghost-hunting franchise might be coming our way. According to Deadline, eOne is developing a new TV series based on Brett Murphy and Wilson Gandolpho’s Paranormal Hitmen comic books.
Described as “Ghostbusters meets Pulp Fiction,” the series follows the misadventures of mob hitmen Gene Rizzo and Devon Grace. The two get mistakenly recruited into a secret government agency that hunts down paranormal threats. Moreover, as they navigate this new line of work, they must also confront the ghosts of their own pasts.

Writer Murphy and artist Gandolpho began publishing Paranormal Hitmen through Behemoth Entertainment. The first volume of the series saw release back in January. (Behemoth also develops video games, and recently merged with Sumerian Records and Films last month.) eOne will produce Paranormal Hitmen’s TV adaptation under late Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner’s Altar Rock banner. Murphy and Gandolpho will also executive produce alongside Josh Feldman.
As of now, no writing team has been assembled for Paranormal Hitmen. Regardless, it’s one of several projects that eOne currently has in the works. The studio is also developing a new Dungeons & Dragons TV series. As well as a new Play-Doh feature film from writer Emily V. Gordon.
