This summer, Ms. Marvel will finally join the MCU. Kamala Khan is one of the breakout characters from Marvel’s comic book universe in the past decade. In part, that’s because she’s very normal, when she’s not being heroic. Additionally, Kamala has the distinction of being Marvel’s first Muslim heroine to headline her own series. And she also seems to love Marvel heroes as much as the fans do. That aspect of her personality appears to be intact in the upcoming Ms. Marvel live-action series on Disney+.
Within the new teaser trailer, Kamala’s hero worship of Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel is very obvious. However, it’s also clear that Kamala has the heart of a hero as well. And now that she’s found her power, Kamala can finally live out her dreams.

Newcomer Iman Vellani headlines the series as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel. Aramis Knight co-stars as Kareem/Red Dagger, Saagar Shaikh as Amir Khan, Rish Shah as Kamran, Zenobia Shroff as Muneeba Khan, Mohan Kapur as Yusuf Khan, Matt Lintz as Bruno Carrelli, and Laurel Marsden as Zoe Zimmer.
Ms. Marvel will premiere on Disney+ on June 8.
