The vast majority of Moon Knight‘s teasers and trailers have focused on Steven Grant’s struggle to understand his new reality, and his relationship with the man who is destined to be his greatest enemy, Arthur Harrow. However, there has been considerably less focus given to Layla El-Faouly, the show’s female lead. Layla was created for the series, but she has a very big role in Steven’s life. Unfortunately, Steven’s dissociative identity disorder means he has completely forgotten who Layla is. Layla and Steven.
In the latest Moon Knight promo, Layla is genuinely dismayed that Steven can’t recall their time together. Even their previous adventures are absent from his mind. Regardless, Steven has a few surprises in store for both Layla and himself. She also seems to be genuinely shocked by the Moon Knight costume, and what it can do.

It also has to be said that the trailer’s final shot of the Moon Knight costume is a thing of beauty.
Oscar Isaac stars in the series as Steven Grant/Marc Spector/Moon Knight, with Ethan Hawke as Arthur Harrow, May Calamawy as Layla El-Faouly, Gaspard Ulliel as Anton Mogart/Midnight Man, and F. Murray Abraham as the voice of Khonshu.
Moon Knight will premiere on Disney+ on Wednesday, March 30.
