On Thursday, the Halo TV series will finally bring the acclaimed game series to live-action in a big budget production. Among fans of the video games, the Halo mythos is fairly well-established. However, the show will have to introduce the world to new viwers, and debut a few characters who were created for the show. It’s a delicate balance to strike. Regardless, there’s a new Halo trailer that breaks it down into easier understandable character motivations.
Within the trailer, Natascha McElhone’s Dr. Catherine Elizabeth Halsey shares her perspective on the people fighting the war. Halsey also plays a big role in the series since she is the creator of the Spartan soldiers. They are the key to turning the war in humanity’s favor. Perhaps that’s why Halsey believes that Master Chief represents hope.
