Good Omens Season 2 Adds Derek Jacobi, Mark Gatiss, and Steve Pemberton

The second season of Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman’s Good Omens is still in production, and some familiar faces will reunite with Michael Sheen and David Tennant’s Aziraphale and Crowley. Deadline is reporting that Derek Jacobi will reprise his role as Metatron, the voice of God. Additionally, Mark Gatiss and Steve Pemberton will be back as the enigmatic booksellers, Harmony and Glozier. Good Omens season 2.

Deadline confirmed that Niamh Walsh and Reece Shearsmith will also return in season 2. There are also some new additions to the cast including Dame Siân Phillips (Dune), Tim Downie (Outlander), Pete Firman (The Magicians), Andi Osho (I May Destroy You), and Alex Norton (Pirates of the Caribbean).

However, Deadline’s report notes that Benedict Cumberbatch and Frances McDormand will not reprise their roles as Satan and God, respectively.

“We are so thrilled that we were able to get so many fabulous actors to return to the Good Omens family,” said Gaiman in a statement. “Some of them are reprising roles, some of them are playing completely new characters. And we are just as thrilled by the people coming to the Good Omens team for the first time. We have an ensemble cast of astonishing talent, and seeing what they’re giving us is a daily treat. I can’t wait until the rest of the world gets that treat, too.”
