WandaVision’s ‘Agatha All Along’ Scores a Grammy Nomination

Two months after winning three awards at this year’s Emmys, WandaVision has a chance to bring home yet another golden statue. Earlier today, the nominations for next year’s Grammy Awards were announced. And it should come as no surprise that “Agatha All Along” secured a nod for Best Song Written for Visual Media.

“Agatha All Along” was first heard in WandaVision’s seventh episode and it quickly became the show’s breakout theme. As with the various opening songs that graced every episode of the series, the track was written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, who previously penned Oscar-winning songs from Frozen and Coco. This isn’t the first time that the husband-and-wife duo have been recognized for their work on the series. In fact, “Agatha All Along” led to one of the show’s Emmy wins, with the couple taking home the gold for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics.

Regardless, the couple will face some pretty stiff competition in its Grammys category. Their song will be judged alongside several other memorable hits from the past year. Other nominees include “All Eyes on Me” from Bo Burnham: Inside; “All I Know So Far” from P!NK: All I Know So Far; “Fight For You” from Judas and the Black Messiah; “Here I Am (Singing My Way Home)” from Respect; and “Speak Now” from One Night in Miami. Additionally, “Agatha All Along”’s nod marks the first time in eight years that a song from a TV show has been recognized in this category.

The Grammy Awards will air on January 31, 2022 on CBS.
