It’s never easy to introduce your love interest to your family, as the latest promo for Batwoman suggests. In the upcoming installment, Meagan Tandy’s Sophie will meet Ryan’s recently-discovered half-brother, Marquis. The titular heroine seems reluctant to introduce the former Crows Security member as her girlfriend, but that might be just the producers duping the fans with the promo’s images.
In the freshman season, Sophie fell in love with Kate Kane, and she was almost devastated when she discovered that she had gone missing. Now that the first woman behind the mask of Gotham’s Scarlet Knight is gone, she and Ryan have been flirting with each other. The relationship might turn into something more serious soon.

Holly Dale directed the episode written by Daniel Thomsen. The official synopsis for “Antifreeze” reads:
“THE FREEZE OUT – When Ryan (Javicia Leslie) makes Gotham’s “30 Under 30″ list, Luke (Camrus Johnson) worries about how Marquis’s (Nick Creegan) involvement in Ryan’s rising popularity as Wayne Enterprises’ acting CEO will land with Jada (Robin Givens). Mary (Nicole Kang) returns from a late night out not feeling quite herself, while Alice’s (Rachel Skarsten) hallucinations grow stronger. And when Sophie’s (Meagan Tandy) sister, Jordan (guest star Keeya King), goes missing, she and the Bat Team quickly realize that Freeze’s missing weapon hasn’t been fully contained.”
The next episode of Batwoman will hit The CW on November 3.
