Warner Bros. Responds To Ruby Rose, Claims She Was Fired
Earlier today, former Batwoman star Ruby Rose leveled a series of explosive accusations against her former show, and the CEO of Warner Bros. Television Studios, Peter Roth. Additionally, Rose singled out former cast member, Dougray Scott, for misconduct. Rose also called out Batwoman showrunner, Caroline Dries, for her response to a crew member’s injury.
Now, via The Wrap, Warner Bros. is firing back at Rose with an allegation of its own.
“Despite the revisionist history that Ruby Rose is now sharing online aimed at the producers, the cast and crew, the network, and the Studio, the truth is that Warner Bros. Television had decided not to exercise its option to engage Ruby for season two of ‘Batwoman’ based on multiple complaints about workplace behavior that were extensively reviewed and handled privately out of respect for all concerned.”

This will almost certainly get another response from Rose. But we still don’t know why Rose decided to break her silence today. There’s no known litigation between the former star and the studio. Rose also struck a more conciliatory tone earlier this year when she endorsed Wallis Day as the show’s new Kate Kane.
“I’m sorry I didn’t congratulate Wallis Day yesterday,” Rose wrote on Instagram in March. “I knew about the casting beforehand and didn’t know when it aired so I forgot to. But I’m stoked for her!… I feel great I have nothing but good vibes.”
Day portrayed a surgically altered Kate Kane in Batwoman season 2. But at the moment, there are no plans to bring Kate back to the show in season 3. Javicia Leslie currently stars in the series as Ryan Wilder, the second Batwoman. Rose has also been gracious about Leslie’s role on the show in previous statements.
