It’s been well over a year since Kaley Cuoco’s animated Harley Quinn last graced our screens. And even though its future was in doubt for a little while, the show finally has a new home on HBO Max and now season 3 is right around the corner. Unfortunately for us, animation takes forever to churn out. But today’s DC FanDome livestream gave viewers a peek at the Clown Princess of Crime’s long-awaited return to the airwaves. Watch it in the player below.
To tease the new episodes, HBO Max released a sizzle reel introduced by Harley herself and King Shark (voiced by Ron Funches). The animation remains unfinished, but it still gives us an idea of where the new season is headed next year. Picking up where season 2 left off, Harley and Poison Ivy will try to find some normalcy as the DC Universe’s hottest new item. But since they’re both big-time supervillains, that’s not going to be so easy. For one thing, it sounds like Commissioner Gordon isn’t going to rest until both of them are behind bars. And to make matters worse, they’ll have returning big-bads like Bane and Doctor Psycho to deal with as well.

The preview also confirms which other characters will be making a comeback in season 3, including Batman and the Joker. Plus, it looks like Ivy will once again come face-to-face with Kite Man after abandoning him at the altar in the season 2 finale.
Harley Quinn season 3 will premiere on HBO Max in 2022.
