The Twisted Metal TV series has found its leading man. Via Deadline, Anthony Mackie has signed on to headline Sony’s Twisted Metal show, which is based upon the hit video game series.
Mackie will portray John Doe, a character who first appeared in Twisted Metal: Black. As his name suggests, John Doe is a man without an identity of his own after losing his memory. However, John was lured into joining Twisted Metal‘s lethal car combat for the promise of answers about who he really is. The truth also leads John to Calypso, one of the key figures behind the tournament.
