Star Trek: Picard Gets a New Season 2 Trailer and a Season 3 Renewal

This year’s Star Trek Day started out fairly quietly. However, the breaking news is that Star Trek: Picard has been given an early season 3 renewal. But before Jean-Luc Picard can get to another year, he has to live through season 2 first.

As part of the Star Trek Day celebrations, Paramount+ has released a new trailer for Star Trek: Picard season 2. John de Lancie is back as Q, and this time, we know more about what’s happening this season. Do you remember what Q said at the end of “All Good Things”? He told Picard that the trail of humanity “never ends,” regardless of Picard’s pleas that he’s too old for this.

Additionally, Q has changed something in the past that has completely reshaped the timeline. Now, the Federation has become a totalitarian regime, not unlike the Mirror Universe. Fortunately Picard (Patrick Stewart),  Agnes Jurati (Alison Pill), Raffi Musiker (Michelle Hurd), Cristobal “Chris” Rios (Santiago Cabrera), and Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) have retained their memories. However, they will have to turn to the Borg Queen (Annie Wersching) for help in order to travel to our present.

Star Trek: Picard season 2 will premiere on Paramount+ in February 2022.
