Originally announced as HBO Max exclusives, Aquaman: King of Atlantis and Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai are taking up residence on cable TV. According to The Hollywood Reporter, both shows will have cross-platform runs on Cartoon Network.
The shows are joining Cartoon Network’s upcoming ACME Night programming block. Launching on September 19 with an airing of Shazam!, the slate will focus on family-friendly content. That includes a handful of original TV specials, including the previously-announced Merry Little Batman. Additionally, viewers can look forward to the Harry Potter Wizarding World quiz show, Did I Do That to the Holidays? A Steve Urkel Story, and a new Looney Toons animated feature.

King of Atlantis isn’t the only DC show getting a cross-platform run during the ACME Night block. The highly-anticipated Batman: Caped Crusader animated series is also expected to have dual premieres on Cartoon Network and HBO Max. Neither series has a release date yet. Regardless, Warner Bros. will likely reveal new details at DC FanDome next month.
Secrets of the Mogwai is a prequel to Gremlins that is set in the 1920. The series will reveal how 10-year-old Sam Wing met Gizmo while growing up in Shanghai. HBO Max renewed the show for a second season earlier this year.
