The Umbrella Academy Cast Calls Filming on Season 3 a Wrap
The third season of The Umbrella Academy is not far away. Recently, showrunner Steve Blackman took up to his socials to share a video featuring the Umbrella Academy cast announcing that the upcoming season is in the cans. The video sees Elliott Page (who coincidentally sports a T-shirt lettering “written and directed by the Wachowski sisters”), Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Emmy Raver-Lampman and Justin H. Min in addition to Ritu Arya and Colm Feore.
“Wow. I don’t think the world’s ready for this,” Raver-Lampman stated. “I think it’s our best season yet.”

After messing with time, the next season of the show will feature multiple new characters as the members of The Sparrow Academy will take the floor. They actually made an appearance at the end of the sophomore season, when Five, Vanya, and the other thought they safely returned home after saving their reality. Once there, they found out that a still-alive Reginald Hargreeves chose different children to form Sparrow Academy. In the comics, The Sparrows are a group of superheroes who saved the Umbrella Academy members from a group of supervillains, but it seems that the series will take a different route and will make the two superpowered groups collide in season 3.
Netflix still hasn’t announced a premiere date for The Umbrella Academy season 3.
