Warning: There are spoilers ahead for Loki episode 5!
The Lokis are more numerous than we realized, in the penultimate episode of Marvel’s latest original series. Disney+ has premiered the fifth episode of Loki, and we want to know what the Superhero Hype community thinks about it!
After Loki comes face-to-face with Classic Loki, Boastful Loki, Kid Loki, and Alligator Loki, they are forced to run for their lives from Alioth. We should also mention that Alioth is actually a cloud-like monster straight from the comics. Classic Loki explains that they are all trapped in the Void at the end of time, and Alioth lives to devour everything. Meanwhile at the TVA, Sylvie makes a tenuous alliance with Ravonna Renslayer. However, Sylvie correctly guesses that Ravonna intends to betray her. Armed with the knowledge that Loki isn’t dead, Sylvie prunes herself and disappears into the Void.
At the hidden kingdom of Kid Loki, Loki tries to rally his fellow Lokis to fight Alioth. When they laugh at him, Loki goes to leave. Unfortunately, President Loki and his gang of Lokis take the opportunity to invade Kid Loki’s lair. Boastful Loki also admits that he betrayed the others to be the new king of the lair. However, President Loki reveals his intention to seize power himself. As all of the renegade Lokis turn on each other, Loki, Classic Loki, Kid Loki, and Alligator Loki escape.

Back at the TVA, Ravonna interrogates Hunter B-15. She also orders Miss Minutes to give her information about the formation of the TVA. In the Void, Sylvie finds an unexpected ally: Agent Mobius. Elsewhere, Classic Loki reveals that his nexus event was surviving Thanos’ wraith with a convincing simulation. Classic Loki hide away for decades to survive. But when he tried to reunite with Thor, Classic Loki was seized by the TVA.
Sylvie and Mobius reunite with Loki and his new friends. She then berates Loki’s reckless plan to kill Alioth, and shares a better plan to “enchant” it. Additionally, Loki and Sylvie seem to further their romantic bond, even though she doesn’t fully trust him. Soon after, Kid Loki and Classic Loki decline an opportunity to leave the Void with Mobius. Loki and Mobius also share a hug of friendship before the former TVA agent goes to “burn it down.”
Loki and Sylvie’s power is initially too weak to overcome Alioth’s will. However, Classic Loki returns and conjures an illusion of Asgard to distract the monster. Classic Loki embraces his “glorious purpose” again, right before Alioth devours him. Regardless, Sylvie and Loki succeed in enchanting Alioth. As the cloud monster parts, they see a mysterious citadel off in the distance.
The first five episodes of Loki are streaming on Disney+. Episode 6 will premiere on Wednesday, July 14.
