Chrissy Beppo is going to have a much bigger role on Superman & Lois when the show returns to The CW next year. Deadline brings word that Sofia Hasmik has been promoted to series regular for season 2.
Following the critical and ratings success of its pilot episode, The CW renewed Superman & Lois for another season back in March. However, the show won’t return to the airwaves this fall like some of its Arrowverse contemporaries. Instead, the network is saving its season 2 premiere for early 2022. The series is currently scheduled to wrap up its freshman season on August 10.
Chrissy was introduced in the series’ second episode as the Smallville Gazette’s editor-in-chief. She also grew up idolizing Lois Lane. And when Lois quit her job at the Daily Planet after Morgan Edge censored her, she and Chrissy began working together at the Gazette.

Before joining Superman & Lois, Hasmik appeared in several episodes of Spectrum Originals’ Mad About You revival in 2019. In 2018, she starred opposite David Tennant and Robert Sheehan in Bad Samaritan.
The next episode of Superman & Lois will air on Tuesday, July 13 on The CW.
