Loki Episode 4 – What Did You Think?!

Warning: There are spoilers ahead for Loki episode 4!

If we had to guess, there will probably be new character posters next week for the Gods of Mischief. Or maybe they can all share one. Disney+ has premiered the fourth episode of Loki, and we want to know what the Superhero Hype community thinks about it!

A long time ago, when Sylvie was simply a young female Loki in Asgard, she was arrested and kidnapped by the TVA. Ravonna Renslayer and her minutemen also erased Sylvie’s timeline from existence. However, Sylvie broke away from Ravonna and stole a TemPad to escape. That’s how Sylvie became the Variant who is so feared by the TVA.  Back in the year 2077, Loki and Sylvie are still stuck on the moon Lamentis-1 during an apocalyptic event. In the face of their certain death, Loki and Sylvie share a romantic attraction to each other.

Their atypical feelings create a nexus event that leads the TVA right to them. Both Loki and Sylvie are taken back to TVA headquarters. But only Loki is put into a time loop from his memory. It’s a moment from Loki’s past where he played a prank on Lady Sif and she beat him up for it. Regardless, Sif’s words hurt him more than her fists: “you are alone, and you always will be.”

Back at the TVA, both Mobius and Hunter B-15 become suspicious about what they’ve seen. B-15 even remembers some of her past life, and she also brings Sylvie back to RoxxCart in 2050 in order to retrieve the rest of her memories. As for Mobius, he searches for the truth about what happened to Hunter C-20 after she returned to the TVA.

Additionally, Mobius interrogates Loki and berates him for falling for another variant of himself. But before they part, Loki tells Mobius that everyone at the TVA is a variant. Mobius steals Ravonna’s TemPad to confirm Loki’s story, and he also witnesses a recording of C-20’s death. Ravonna killed C-20 because she remembered too much of her past. That’s why Mobius frees Loki from the time loop and reconciles with him. However, their bond of friendship comes to a fast end, when Ravonna intercepts them and orders Mobius to be “pruned.” Loki even looks genuinely upset at Mobius’ demise.

Loki and Sylvie are reunited as they are brought before the Time Keepers. Fortunately for the Gods of Mischief, B-15 frees them from their restraints and they defeat their captors together. Sylvie also kills one of the Time Keepers. But it turns out that the Time Keepers were just androids. Someone else is pulling the TVA’s strings. Before Loki can confess his love for Sylvie, he too is pruned by Ravonna. Regardless, Sylvie refuses to kill Ravonna until she has answers.

In the mid-credits scene, Loki awakens in a post-apocalyptic landscape. He is soon greeted by Kid Loki, Classic Loki, Boastful Loki…and Crocodile Loki?

The first four episodes of Loki are streaming on Disney+. Episode 5 will premiere on Wednesday, July 7.
