Back in March, Jordan Fisher signed on to a recurring role on The Flash, Fisher is going to play Bart Allen, the son of Barry Allen and Iris West-Allen. In the comics, Bart is also known by his superhero codename: Impulse. He also inherited his family’s super-speed. Now, less than two months after he joined the cast, The CW has released the first image of Fisher as Impulse.
As you can see from the image below, Impulse’s costume is largely faithful to his comic book counterpart. That pose may also be familiar to longtime readers of The Flash comics.

Pardon the expression, but The Flash is playing fast and loose with Impulse’s identity on the show. In the comics, he’s actually Barry and Iris’ grandson, not their actual son. Additionally, XS was Bart’s cousin, not his sister.
Fisher will make his debut as Impulse in The Flash‘s 150th episode, “Heart of the Matter, Part 1.” For the occasion, Jessica Parker Kennedy is also reprising her role as Nora West-Allen/XS.
