In just under a month, Loki will return for the first time since Avengers: Endgame. Thanks to the Avengers’ time travel misstep, the god of mischief has changed his fate and escaped with the Tesseract. However, Loki won’t be able to get away without consequences. The Time Variance Authority keeps track of all variants, and they usually exterminate them. Regardless of the TVA’s protocols, Owen Wilson’s Agent Mobius M. Mobius has spared Loki’s life. But what does Mobius want in return?
During the MTV Movie & TV Awards, Marvel Studios and Disney+ debuted a new preview scene that formally introduces Loki to Agent Mobius. Surprisingly, Loki seems to be well-aware of who and what the TVA are. However, he doesn’t seem to believe that the TVA is real. He’ll find out the truth soon enough.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw also stars in the series as Ravonna Lexus Renslayer, a TVA judge, with Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15. Additionally, Richard E. Grant, Sophia Di Martino, Sasha Lane, Erika Coleman, and Eugene Cordero have undisclosed roles on the show.
Here’s the official synopsis from Disney+ and Marvel Studios:
“Picking up immediately after Loki steals the Tesseract (again), he finds himself called before the Time Variance Authority, a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space, forced to answer for his crimes against the timeline and given a choice: face deletion from reality or assist in catching an even greater threat.”
Loki will premiere on Disney+ on Wednesday, June 9.
