As anyone who has read the comics can tell you, Invincible really isn’t for kids. And with Amazon’s animated TV adaptation launching next week, the streamer is going out of its way to make sure that the show isn’t watched by impressionable youngsters. That’s why the last “Invincible Friday” before the premiere is devoted to showcasing its adult tone. In the latest teaser, viewers get an idea of just how “wholesome” the series actually is.

In short: not wholesome at all. It’s important to remember that Mark Grayson is new to the superhero game. With that in mind, we can expect plenty of scenes where he gets beaten to a bloody pulp. Still, things could always be worse. For instance, he could be an innocent bystander getting blasted to bits in the middle of a busy intersection.
Needless to say, the endless bloodshed takes a toll on Mark, because he’s already struggling to live up to the legacy of his famous father, Omni-Man. But thankfully, he’s not always on the receiving end of an ass-kicking. After finally getting his bearings, he’s able to land a few hits of his own.
Invincible will debut its first three episodes on Amazon Prime next Friday, March 26. You can check out our review of the first three episodes here.
