Netflix is relentlessly expanding the world of The Witcher. According to a report by EW, British model and actress Jodie Turner-Smith will portray the lead role of Éile in the upcoming Witcher spin-off Blood Origin. According to the official description, Éile is “an elite warrior blessed with the voice of a goddess, [who] has left her clan and position as Queen’s guardian to follow her heart as a nomadic musician. A grand reckoning on the continent forces her to return to the way of the blade in her quest for vengeance and redemption.”
Turner-Smith’s credits include 2016’s The Neon Demon, a few episodes of True Blood, as well as The Last Ship and Nightflyers. Her character has no bookish counterpart, and that’s why many details about her are still under wrap. However, some previous reports indicated that she is from a Clan of Elves that uses knives as their primary weapon.
