Hardcore fans of Doctor Who will be pleased to hear that Doctor Who – The Collection is getting a new installment. The BBC just announced that Season 24 of Doctor Who will get an HD restyling before hitting the blu-ray. It originally aired back in 1987, with Sylvester McCoy playing the Seventh Doctor and Bonnie Langford as the Doctor’s companion, Mel Bush. The upcoming Doctor Who: The Collection – Season 24 will include Time and the Rani, Paradise Towers, Delta and the Bannermen, and Dragonfire.
For the occasion, the broadcaster has also dropped a funny trailer full of references from the past. The video features Langford’s Mel Bush dealing with some old acquaintances in a Shark Tank-like contest for her approval. But someone unexpected visits her and forces her to change her plans.
