It’s a Gotham City Uprising in Batwoman Episode 2.02 Photos

At the end of the week, the DC CW-verse will officially return as Batwoman debuts its sophomore season. To keep the hype high, The CW has already released a bunch of promotional photos for the upcoming second episode of Batwoman Season 2. It appears that Kate Kane’s recent disappearance has caused a ruckus in Gotham City as Ryan Wilder still has to take a few more lessons before she can stand her ground as the new titular heroine. But Ryan is a quick learner, and she is ready to do whatever it takes to save Gotham from danger. The episode will also feature the first close encounter between Ryan and Alice, Kate’s dangerous twin.

Carl Seaton directed the episode written by James Stoteraux and Chad Fiveash. The official synopsis for “Prior Criminal History” reads:

“DOWNRIGHT BATTY – After her quick spin in the Batgear, Ryan Wilder (Javicia Leslie) is back to facing the daily challenges of life as herself. Meanwhile, Alice (Rachel Skarsten) has a new, devious plan to get the attention of both Gotham and Safiyah (guest star Shivaani Ghai). With Kate still missing and the city in an uprising, Luke (Camrus Johnson) and Mary (Nicole Kang) are desperate to find a stand in. In a pinch, Ryan dons the suit again and comes face-to-face with Alice for the first time. Back at Crows Headquarters, Sophie and Commander Kane try to uncover who may have had a vendetta against Kate.”

Batwoman Season 2 will premiere on The CW on Jan. 17. The second episode — from which today’s photos originate — will air on Jan. 24.
