Henry Cavill Goes Dark in First Look at The Witcher Season 2

It appears that everything is sailing through on the set of The Witcher season 2, with production not halted thus far. Now Netflix has released the first look at Henry Cavill‘s Geralt of Rivia from the upcoming sophomore season of the show. The new armor of the witcher is entirely black. Besides his well-known wolf medallion, Geralt also features a leather thong for his potions. Unlike in the video games, Geralt is wielding only one sword in these first promotional pics.

Besides the new look, the streaming service has dropped a brand new official description for The Witcher Season 2, which confirms what many fans already know. In the next season, Geralt will visit Kaer Morhen, and many other witchers will make their debut in the show. The synopsis reads:

“Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.”

Netflix will release The Witcher Season 2 somewhere in 2021.
