In the history of Transformers, the battle between Autobots and Decepticons has always been the constant. We know the symbols: the bulldog-like Autobot face logo and the pointy Decepticon, in red and purple. But now, in the trailer for Netflix‘s Transformers: War for Cybertron Earthrise, a third symbol emerges. Mercenaries? Independents? They seem to deny they’re a faction at all, but then why have a rallying symbol?
Presumably we shall learn. But if anyone expected “Earthrise” would actually happen on Earth, they look mistaken. It’s a long journey from Cybertron, and that appears to be where most of the action happens.
