In an ideal world, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was supposed to be the first of two MCU shows on Disney+ this year. However, WandaVision will now be the sole Marvel Cinematic Universe show to debut this year. The series had the good fortune to wrap production before the coronavirus pandemic struck. While The Mandalorian season 2 will be Disney+’s flagship series this fall, the streaming service has confirmed that WandaVision is still arriving this year.
Disney+’s new promo video also notes that X2: X-Men United and Marvel’s 616 docu-series are coming in 2020. Regardless, WandaVision is still prime Marvel attraction on the horizon.

Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany will reprise their respective roles in WandaVision. Additionally, Kat Dennings will return from the Thor movies as Darcy Lewis. Randall Park also signed on to play Jimmy Woo, a character he originated in Ant-Man and the Wasp.. The show will also introduce Teyonah Parris as the grown-up Monica Rambeau. A younger version of Monica was previously played by Akira Akbar in Captain Marvel.
WandaVision will likely hit Disney+ in December. Presumably, it will debut after The Mandalorian season 2 ends.
