The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was supposed to be the first Marvel Studios original series created for Disney+. However, the Coronavirus pandemic shut down production back in March. Recent reports have indicated that the series may resume filming soon. In the meantime, the Winter Soldier himself, Sebastian Stan, has shared a new behind-the-scenes photo of himself and his co-headliner, Anthony Mackie. Both Mackie and Stan are in costume as the Falcon and the Winter Soldier, respectively.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will be the first MCU adventure after the events of Avengers: Endgame. It will also deal with Falcon’s attempt to live up to Captain America’s legacy.
Daniel Brühl and Emily VanCamp will also make their MCU returns as Helmut Zemo and Sharon Carter. Wyatt Russell will portray John Walker, the government’s choice to be the new Captain America. Additionally, Adepero Oduye, Desmond Chiam, Miki Ishikawa, Noah Mills, and Carl Lumbly will appear in the series.
