Adult Swim Cancels The Venture Bros. After Seven Seasons

Earlier this month, fans of The Venture Bros. shared the rumor that the series had been cancelled after seven seasons on Adult Swim. However, there was still a glimmer of hope until series co-creator Christopher McCulloch a.k.a. Jackson Publick confirmed the news on Twitter.

James Urbaniak, the actor who voiced Dr. Rusty Venture, also shared his response on Twitter.

In response to the fan outcry, Adult Swim’s official account weighed in and claimed that the network wants to continue the story with co-creators McCulloch and Doc Hammer.

The easiest way to continue the series would have been to finish the eighth season, or simply not cancel the series. Regardless, the Venture Bros. may eventually return in some form.
